Mark was UK apprentice of the year in the field of Engineering services. On the back of this Mark was awarded a full scholarship in Australia studying Building Services to HND level. During his time in Australia Mark worked on three of Australia’s largest projects, Moomba Gas Station, being one of them. During his career, Mark has worked across all main sectors from nuclear power, AWE, Power stations and across all commercial buildings sectors.
Mark sat on the board of Europe’s largest Building Management Company (BAS). The company was taken from a start-up to being sold to SSE (Sothern Scottish Energy) for circa 67M. Mark was responsible for the designing of Etihad smart building solution, Mark then rolled out the infrastructure across Etihad’s global portfolio. During Marks five years in the middle east, he was invited by Dell to sit on Dell’s innovation group. This team was responsible for setting the output criteria for the new IoT Dell 5000 Gateway.
Mark joins us from Gooee, where he served as the Chief Operational Officer with responsibility for the implementation of the company’s services across the entire portfolio. In 2019 Gooee was awarded the single largest contract for IOT connected buildings. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director of Intelligent Buildings at Utilitywise – which was the largest provider of utilities in the British B2B sector. He has over 35 years’ experience driving B2B, B2C and professional services growth and is a pioneer in the use of IoT within the building connected energy management world. Mark has a proven track record in developing controls software solution processes designing and implementing business models and devising full business plans.
Mark received degrees from Liverpool College – City & Guilds Mechanical and Engineering Services, South Wales University, Sydney – Building Services HND and S.A.V.A. – Commercial level 1,2,3, Decs Energy Engineer.
