Financial Controller

We’re looking for a Financial Controller to join the Kterio team.  Reporting to the VP-Finance, the Financial Controller is responsible for the Company’s accounting operations.  We’re looking for someone who is accountable, can work independently or as part of a team, and has an interest in propelling innovative technology into the broader ecosystem; someone who will speak their mind, accept feedback and help to drive our growth.

responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent and accurate financial accounting and reporting
  • Play a key role in the implementation of a new ERP system to support the growth of the business
  • Assist with the creation and tracking of company and department budgets
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
  • Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards
  • Manage outsourced accountants in subsidiary offices; assist with hiring and development of a US accounting and finance team
  • Recommend actions and benchmarks that will be used to measure the Company’s performance
  • Ensure compliance with tax and other statutory reporting
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

Qualification

  • CPA Certification strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
  • 7+ years’ relevant work experience in accounting with increasing responsibility
  • Complete understanding of US GAAP
  • Proficient ERP experience (5+ Years)
  • Proficient Excel Experience
  • Experience with tax and other statutory compliance
  • Experience with international operations and consolidations
  • Work location flexible (we have a very virtual work environment)
