Smart Building Project Engineer

US – Remote

We are looking for an energetic and organized project leader with strong interpersonal skills to join our account management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, installation supervision efforts, and working directly with the client to ensure project outcomes are meeting their expectations. To be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable collaborating with multiple teams, taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks’ completion. This will be a work-from-home position in a global company; strong communication skills are required.


  • Owner of all project processes and documentation
  • Ensure the project plan is moving forward to meet agreed deadlines
  • Responsible for the implementation and success of the project plan
  • Anticipate project setbacks and develop mitigation plans
  • Owner and developer of training documents
  • Coordinate and assist with customer training programs
  • Provide ongoing client support for Kterio solution
  • Manage a positive client relationship
  • Assist with the on-site management of installation efforts
  • Coordinate with client team and developers to create project schedules
  • Responsible for the RFI verification process
  • Process owner for project-related accounting issues
  • Collaborate with the technical team to identify and implement client solutions
  • Understand Kterio solution capabilities and manage client expectations
  • Coordinate completion of development tasks with the application team
  • Assist the management team in developing business-related processes, as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in building systems or facilities management a plus
  • 5+ years of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager preferred
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with project management best practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
