Kterio Smart Service Centre engineer role is certainly a varied one; this role is providing remote support for the connected systems. You will support customers directly and deliver digital services using the Kterio software tools, from supporting customers one day to leading new initiatives the next, this is one role where one day will never be the same as the next. Kterio Smart Services Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the customers’ services and expectations are met, you will ensure the best working applications are set up and implemented, create reports and discuss these with customers. You will be a crucial instrument in how the smart center operates and propose and implement the necessary applications, software platforms, and process changes to fulfill the customers’ services.

Reporting directly to the Senior Smart Services Engineer while working proactively with other Smart Services Engineers and departments delivering the functions of the service with the desired outcomes to the customers, you must demonstrate proactivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in terms of developing services further to help drive the growth of the business.


  • Assist and execute service delivery
  • Assist and execute all support functions
  • Input into development tools and software
  • Support Install and SSC Teams Key Accountabilities to the Head of SSC, operations, data management, and team management. 
  • Providing appropriate support and guidance to the customers/engineers and relevant teams
  • Services to be provided within the agreed timescales and to SSC / Client’s satisfaction
  • Complete any software applications training given

  • Minimum 5+ years working in the BMS Industry
  • An understanding and knowledge of HVAC Systems (BCIA, ASHRAE Trained or Equivalent)
  • An understanding of BMS network topologies and protocols
  • Experienced in working within a target-driven environment
  • Ability to identify process recommendations and implement changes
  • The capacity and capability to encourage innovation and creativity within the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their ethnic, cultural, social backgrounds, gender, age, religious belief, disability, and sexual orientation
  • Compliance: Ability to audit and monitor the quality of outputs; demonstrable experience of delivery against specified protocols/ procedures ensuring the highest level of performance
  • Moderate/advanced Excel skills (MS Office Suite)
  • The ability to manage time and work independently and within a team
  • Reliable, taking responsibility and ownership of work with minimal errors
  • Taking the initiative in achieving objectives and meeting deadlines
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Comprehend and drive processes to ensure that the team and the company continue to be compliant with customer contracts
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to respond quickly and efficiently
  • Experience with other BMS Systems and Software
  • Experience with IT Networks / Infrastructures
  • Experience with Tridium Platform AX/N4 and or other BMS systems
  • Experience with Integration Methods and System Protocols (BACnet, Modbus Etc)


  • Full, current driving license
  • Hold no other position of secondary employment
  • Excellent IT skills: competency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet Explorer
  • HVAC industry specialist 
  • Prepared to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check


  • Controls/Mechanical/Electrical BTEC Level 7 or HND or First Degree e.g., BA
  • Controls/Mechanical/Electrical or Equivalent to 5+ years experience in the BMS Industry
  • BCIA, ASHRAE or Equivalent OR 5+ years’ practical experience
