Quality Assurance Engineer

Hybrid, Full-time

Kterio is looking to fill the role of a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality for our cloud-based software platform. The ideal candidate would be available to come into the office one to two times per week.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
  • CI process implementation (GitHub Actions/ Jenkins)
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Liaise with internal teams (developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

Qualification & Key Attributes

  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress
  • Experience in developing and executing test cases for APIs with tools such as Postman, Newman and K6
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and test management tools such as TestRail
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI
  • Experience working in an Agile development process
  • Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Good knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Python (Java and C# also desirable)
